1. The Central Bank Ireland (CBI)

The Central Bank Ireland regulates financial services such as Insurance Intermediaries. This document helps you to decide

if our services are right for you.

2. Whose products do we offer?

We offer an insurance product for the jewellery and allied trades as an authorised Coverholder Lloyd's Insurance Company SA, Brussels.

In addition we offer products, where we consider ourselves to be adequately qualified, from a limited range of insurers for commercial and personal insurance products.
GJIS
have negotiated an exclusive comprehensive specialist "Jeweller’s Block" policy with Lloyd’s Insurance Company SA for jewellers or others

dealing in precious stones or metals covering the fundamental business risks under one policy.

Due to the bespoke and specialist nature of the Jeweller’s block product any offer we make will be under our exclusive facilities, meaning we will not approach other providers. The placement of these facilities are reviewed periodically to ensure that they continue to meet the requirements of  the Jewellery trade.

3. Which service will we provide you with?

We will advise and make a recommendation for you after we have assessed your needs providing we consider our specialist products are suitable for your application of that we are able to arrange an insurance policy to meet your needs.

4. What will you have to pay for our services?

In the normal course of business there is no fee for our services; we are remunerated by commission payable by the Insurer(s). Should we agree a different basis to this you will receive a quotation which will tell you about any other fees relating to any particular insurance policy.

5. Who regulates us?

GJIS (Europe) Limited, 38 Main Street, Swords, Co. Dublin, K67E0A, Ireland is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank Ireland.

Our Register number is C419110

Our permitted business is arranging general insurance contracts.

In the event that you are not entirely satisfied with the firm’s handling of and response to your complaint ultimately you have the right to complain to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman, 3rd Floor, Lincoln House, Lincoln Place, Dublin.

7. Investor Compensation Company Ltd (ICCL) Scheme

Investor Compensation Company Ltd (ICCL) Scheme 

GJIS (Europe) Limited is a member of the Investor Compensation Company Ltd (ICCL) Scheme established under the Investor Compensation Act, 1998. The legislation provides for the establishment of a compensation scheme and to the payment, in certain circumstances, of compensation to certain clients or firms (known as eligible investors) covered by the Act. 

However, you should be aware that a right to compensation would only arise where client money or investment instruments held by this company on your behalf cannot be returned, either for the time being or for the foreseeable future, and where the client falls within the definition of eligible investor as contained in the Act. In the event that a right to compensation is established, the amount payable is the lesser of 90% of the client’s loss, which is recognised as being eligible for compensation, or €20,000
